Why Us:

Z

To date, 95% of our graduates have secured a place in a high ranking Canadian or US university.

Small Class Sizes

Our small class sizes provide students with the opportunity to join discussions, ask questions, and make sure they are confident in the learning and understanding of the material. We limit each class to 18 students, with the average number being 15.

Experienced Instructors

All of our instructors are university graduates, who are certified to teach in British Columbia, and will work closely together with our students all the way to graduation.

Academic Advising

Our Academic Advisors will assist students with all aspects of their academic life, including course selection, volunteer opportunities, choosing their majors, selecting suitable universities and preparing various applications.

Student Services

Our students are a part of our family, and we will provide the support and personal attention to ensure success both in and out of the classroom. A Student Services team member will always be available, should students need any kind of help or assistance.

Extracurricular Learning

We offer extracurricular activities like clubs and after-school cooking classes, as well as basketball, badminton, and tennis.  Our student services team also helps students find community service or volunteer opportunities.

Honest Communication

We strive to build strong partnerships with parents to help students achieve great success. We offer weekly attendance reports and monthly communication between administration and parents or guardians to provide academic updates from our instructors.

Semester System

Our semester system allows students to study 4 courses per term, in 2 terms per year, and up to 2 more courses in the Summer. Our Fall Term runs from September to January and our Spring Term runs from February to June.

Summer School Program

Our summer program is designed to help students that need additional help in their studies, or simply want to get ahead. We provide a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum featuring learning and coping strategies that help foster students’ desire to learn and excel not only academically, but through taking a role of leadership in the classroom and beyond.

Testimonials:

High school in vancouver

Diana - Student

“At Canada Star Secondary School, they give you a lot more opportunities than at other schools because they offer smaller classes, and students get to work individually with every teacher, and that is probably the best thing about the school”

Uliana - Student

“I like our school because it gave me a lot of opportunities. I got a chance to go to Ontario’s top university. The school staff, teachers, and our lovely principal is so caring about the students. Teachers make our classes interesting and you can’t wait for each class to begin, because they are actually cool. This school is supporting its students, and believes in them; not only believes, but is also finding a way to help students achieve their goal. It is not only about academic success like in other schools, but also about being a good person and developing in every way.”

Scarlett - Parent

“Canada Star Secondary has made my son a future artist, a better leader, and a better person. Canada Star has a great system of continuously pushing students to reflect and explore their college studies and career.  Small class size, good teacher-student ratio and unique academic prep setup all contribute to my son’s success.

More importantly, my son had many chances to participate and lead in community service as a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. He was admitted by his dream school Art Center in U.S. in 2019. Year one in the college is intensive, but Canada Star has prepared him well both skill-wise, academically and mentally. Thanks to Canada Star, my son is confident, passionate and promising in his future studies and new life at college.”

Steven - Student

“It’s kind of hard to point to words to describe how great our school is, but it is the atmosphere that gets me. Everyone is so nice and friendly, and we have a really good working environment.”
